A Remote Island in Scenic SplendorJuly 05,2020
Komogakushi Onsen Hotel Sanyo Club is tucked away on Iwagi Island, a small, remote island with no connecting bridges. Visitors here are delighted with a breathtaking backdrop unlike anything found in their day to day lives.
Quiet waves and a sandy beach stretch from the footstep of the hotel, creating an ambience of having one’s own private beach. Feast your eyes and enjoy a swim in the clear, blue waters. For hotel guests, it’s as easy as popping into your swimsuit and heading straight from your room to the beach.
The hotel also keeps a dedicated pier for guests who prefer to travel here by private boat. Guests can dock here for free, or even use it for a spot of fishing.
(Only for facility users, free of charge for staying at the hotel, and service charge is \2000 per 3 hours for visitors not staying at the hotel)
All guestrooms come with an ocean view. The soothing sounds of sea waves and chirping birds serenade guests as they enjoy looking out over the Seto Inland Sea.
There are Western-Style, Japanese-Style and Suite rooms available to suit the needs of every guest. Each room also comes with a full washlet toilet. For guests with pets, there are exclusive rooms available to use.

The Splendor of Spring
At the center of Iwagi Island is Sekizenzan, a mountain and coveted spot to see cherry blossoms. Over 3000 trees come into full bloom in early April, dotting the mountain tops with fluffy peaks like cherubs’ wings. A 6km road stretches from the harbor up to the observatory, a perfect hiking course to try. This destination is perfect for enjoying a picnic under your favorite tree.
All year around the view from the observatory offers a 360-panorama of beauty below.
